Physician: Peter Eweje, MD, FACG, MRCP (U.K)
Dr Eweje is board certified in Gastroenterology. He graduated medical school in 1986 before proceeding to the United Kingdom for residency training,
becoming a member of the Royal College of Physicians in 1993(equivalent to US board certification in Internal Medicine). He received his United States residency training in Internal medicine, and fellowship in Gastroenterology
both at Nassau County
University Center in Long Island, New York.
He entered private practice in Jacksonville in 1997 where he has continued to provide top
notch care to the citizens of Onslow and neighboring counties.
Dr Eweje is actively involved in clinical research and has served as Principal Investigator of numerous research studies including GERD, IBS, Crohn's disease, Ulcerative colitis and various other gastrointestinal diseases.
He is a member of various gastroenterology societies, and a
fellow of the American College of Gastroenterology.
